After Respawn Entertainment’s lead writer Jesse Stern revealed that the upcoming Titanfall 2 would have a single player campaign, despite its predecessor being online multiplayer only, player interest in the title certainly increased. Titanfall had some really fun mechanics, but its online servers became so desolate so quickly that copies of the game were rendered essentially useless. With no single player, or at least offline, component to the game, players quickly moved on to the next populated online title.
So if you’re one of the people who has been watching and waiting to see or hear more as to what Titanfall 2 is shaping up to be, I have some good news and I have some bad news. The good news? A teaser trailer for the game dropped today. The bad news? It is more a teaser for more trailers, so you still won’t really learn anything more than you do now. Well, except that you will learn more on June 12, just before E3 2016.
Hey, it seems the Titans can now wield swords, so that’s some cool new information. And the YouTube listing confirms Titanfall 2 is releasing on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.
In his interview with Forbes in February, Jesse Stern said the team were wanting Titanfall 2’s single player experience “to deliver a vision of grand global colonial warfare retelling the story of the American Revolution and the American Civil War in space.”
