Another day, another major upcoming game release delayed.
In a comically brief post on the Ubisoft blog, the publisher announced that South Park: The Fractured But Whole won’t be making its original December 6 release date and will instead be coming in the Q1 2017.
“South Park: The Fractured But Whole will now launch on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC, calendar Q1 2017,” the post reads. “The development team wants to make sure the game experience meets the high expectations of fans and the additional time will help them achieve this goal.”
And that’s it; that was literally the entire blog post. Hey, I said it was brief.
So clearly The Fractured But Whole needs a bit more polish, or perhaps a soothing ointment (couldn’t help myself). Although I’d like to think perhaps they got scared that The Last Guardian was recently delayed from October to the same December 6 release date, so they panicked and had to quickly move things around. I doubt that’s the case, but the timing of the days/announcement is pretty hilarious.
Or maybe Ubisoft actually want to go ahead and implement/commercialise the Nosulus Rift farting apparatus they’ve been taking to all the expos. Probably not, but still…
