Star Wars Battlefront wins big at Gamescom

Following the nominations earlier this week, the winners of the Gamescom 2015 awards were revealed yesterday and Star Wars Battlefront took out several of the big spots.

As well as receiving the Best of Gamescom award, Battlefront nabbed the Most Wanted Consumer, Best Console Game Sony Playstation, Best PC Game and Best Online Multiplayer awards. With The Force Awakens releasing this Christmas, we are officially at hype-con 1.

And Rogue Leader is standing by- yeah I’m pumped too…

The only other games to take out multiple awards were Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Super Mario MakerMGS V got the Best Action Game and Best Console Game Microsoft Xbox awards, while Super Mario Maker took home Best Console Game Nintendo Wii and Best Social/Casual game.
