Since it was leaked, and then subsequently announced, there’s been a lot of interest in Far Cry Primal. This spin off from the main series puts the player in control of a primitive human who battles it out with enemy tribes and extinct creatures. There has also been a confirmed beast master feature, where you can tame certain animals to fight alongside you, including saber tooth tigers, bears and wolves. After all this is 2015, if your game doesn’t have a canine companion in it, you’re destined to fail.
If you’re curious to see how Far Cry Primal game will look you can check out the gameplay video below. It features Jean-Christophe Guyot, creative director on Far Cry Primal, and Maxime Beland, creative director at Ubisoft Toronto:
There’s still no solid confirmation on whether dinosaurs will feature in Far Cry Primal, but when asked if the prehistoric birds will appear during an interview with Eurogamer, Ubisoft Tonronto’s creative director Max Beland paused and asked somebody off camera if he can answer before saying “no comment.”
So not a hard no, and it also seems like there’s something there that Ubisoft aren’t telling us. Maybe Jeff Goldblum has been right all along… life finds a way.
