After a sudden delay due to some undisclosed complications relating to classification, 2013 PC indie hit Gone Home is coming to Playstation 4 and Xbox One in Australia and Europe on February 12.
The announcement was made via the game’s official Twitter page over night, also listing other territories, such as New Zealand, Brazil and Russia, that will share the release date.

This is good news for any of you who haven’t had a chance to check out the game because you either haven’t heard of it yet or PC gaming has just seemed too tough a nut to crack. I feel you; all the talk of GPUs, rigs and overclocking can seem to take the fun out of just sitting down and playing a game. Hey, don’t hurt me PC gamers, I too am one of you!
Anyway, I personally am a huge fan of Gone Home, as I showed in my piece defending the “walking simulator” genre in which it is categorised, so of course I would highly recommend you give it a look. But if you won’t take my word for it, maybe you’ll listen to Melbourne based vintage singer/sign language interpretor, and confessed “non-gamer” Ilana Charnelle. I recently sat her down to play Gone Home and she described the experience as “a good, fun couple of hours” and that playing it was “no different from putting on a good movie.”
