It’s been a very Uncharted 4 heavy week in news with a new story trailer, an open multiplayer weekend announced and now a new release date. Yes, Uncharted 4 has been delayed yet again, this time to May 10 2016.
Uncharted 4 was originally set for a release in 2015, however this changed to March 18 2016, which again changed to April 26 2016.
Regarding the latest delay a post from PlayStation’s official blog reads:
As you know, Naughty Dog is wrapping up production on Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End with the game on track to go gold and into production later this month. In an effort to meet the considerable worldwide demand, and to ensure that all gamers worldwide have the opportunity to play the game on day one, we have chosen to postpone the launch of the game by two weeks to allow for extra manufacturing time.
What’s interesting about this delay is the fact it’s due to manufacturing rather than development. Man, maybe people just really want to drag Nathan Drake through some mud.
