Well this is certainly one of the weirder things you’ll see on the internet today.
Some context: a couple of months ago Hideo Kojima revealed to the world the “really cool full body” of his new Kojima Productions studio’s logo mascot, named LUDENS. Seeming like a skeleton in power armour, Kojima later established that LUDENS’ skull-like face was actually a mask.
But who is this LUDENS? Kojima Productions have previously said the teaser images were not from any game they were working on, and when E3 rolled around and Kojima took to the Playstation stage to announce Death Stranding, LUDENS was nowhere to be seen. What purpose was he being saved for?
Well, today we know, as Kojima Productions released the “Kojima Productions logo movie” on their YouTube channel. And, well… I guess you’ll just have to watch it. I don’t know what I expected, but it wasn’t this.
You keep on doing you, Kojima…
