Highlights from the Bethesda showcase – E3 2017

We’re already into the third presentation of E3 this year, and boy has that gone fast. Now it’s Bethesda’s turn to wow us as we look over the highlights from their conference. There weren’t too many shocks, but there were still a few talking points.

Skyrim on Switch has Zelda gear

As we already knew, Nintendo fans will finally get a shot at Skyrim on the Switch. The port looks to include a bunch of features exclusive to the console, such as Zelda themed gear and motion controls. The edition will also include the Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn add ons. Here’s a first look at how it will run:

Evil Within 2 is looking spoopy

The first milky look at Evil Within 2 showed off the creepy world with a pretty epic soundtrack. I personally won’t be playing as I am a massive wimp when it comes to horror, but it looks cool if you’re so inclined! Evil Within 2 has a release of October 13 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Dishonored spins off with Death of the Outsider

Dishonored 2 may have been disappointing, but that doesn’t mean the franchise is dead. Death of the Outsider is a spin-off putting players in control of Billie Lurk in a standalone game. What’s kind of confusing is why this isn’t DLC for Dishonored 2, but we’ll just sit tight and see how this unfolds.

DOOM and Fallout 4 in VR

Again, not news to us, but we got to take a look at how these games will run in VR. Disappointingly PSVR isn’t mentioned for Fallout, but will be compatible with DOOM.

Here’s DOOM:

And here’s Fallout 4:

Creation Club will streamline mods

With additional content for Fallout and Skyrim made easily accessible from in-house and outsourced, Creation Club will be like a mod application and will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC later this summer in the US.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus shows bad guys drink milk

Easily the best bit of the show was this trailer for Wolfenstein II, which includes crocodiles, milkshakes and a dude dropping acid. The follow up will be released on October 27 on Xbox One, PC and PS4.
