Hey guys, remember Metal Gear Survive, the co-op zombie survival spin-off from 2015’s Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain? You know, the one where a bunch of soldiers are transported through a wormhole to another dimension to fight zombies with crystals for heads?
No? Well, according to the game’s Twitter account you don’t have long to wait to check it out, because it’s launching February 20 in the US and 28 in EU territories next year on Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

The announcement also includes details of the game’s day one package, including a variety of gold weapons, skins and gestures. As to what they’re for/how useful they’ll be, we’ll just have to wait and see.
Survive is the first Metal Gear game to come out since Konami and series creator Hideo Kojima’s epic falling out, so all eyes are on it to see just what Konami has planned for the property. Personally, I’m disappointed that it seems to be heading in the direction of a purely multiplayer, narrative-less experience. However, the gameplay of MGS V was so good that it might make for some great tactical fun.
But until February, we’ll approach with caution.
